Johnson to lead Ft. Meigs Elementary School

Kellie Johnson is being recommended to the Perrysburg Board of Education to be named Principal of Ft. Meigs Elementary School beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. Marjoe Cooper is leaving this position to become Superintendent of Lake Local Schools at the end of the current school year.
 
Mrs. Johnson, an Alumna of Perrysburg High School and Ft. Meigs Elementary School, began with the school district as a classroom teacher at Woodland Elementary School. She has since served as Principal of Ft. Meigs Elementary School, Assistant Principal of Perrysburg High School and Executive Director of Human Resources. She also recently worked for Battelle for Kids as a school improvement coach.
 
“We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Johnson back to Perrysburg Schools and this position,” shared Thomas L. Hosler, Superintendent, Perrysburg Schools. “She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to all that she does. Our students, staff members and families will benefit from her leadership as well as her knowledge and skill in a variety of areas, but most importantly her dedication and compassion.”
